Nominations are being accepted for the
Distinguished Public Service Award, which
will be announced at the Cambridge Area
Chamber’s Annual Dinner on Thursday,
February 23, 2012. Recipients of this award
demonstrate outstanding personal
contribution by way of active service,
leadership, and ideas to chamber area civic
or service organization(s), and/or cause(s).
The selected candidate’s contribution will
be for the past calendar year.
Nomination
forms, which include an outline of the
criteria used for consideration, are
available at the Cambridge Area Chamber
office, 607 Wheeling Avenue, Cambridge, or
on-line at
www.cambridgesupersite.com.
Completed nomination forms must be received
at the Chamber office by Friday, February 3,
2012. |

1)
The Distinguished Public Service
Award shall be an annual Cambridge Area
Chamber of Commerce event, to coincide with
the Chamber’s Annual Dinner.
2)
The DPSA certificate and medal will
be presented to a resident of the Cambridge
area by the current chairman of the Chamber
board of directors at the Annual Dinner.
3)
The DPSA award winner shall be
selected by a committee of recipients from
the past five years; however, the past
chairman of the Chamber board shall also
serve on this committee to assure continuity
of purpose.
4)
Nominations for the DPSA shall be
solicited from the Cambridge community at
large via appropriate publicity.
5)
The selection made by the committee
shall be final.

The person selected must be a
resident of the immediate
Guernsey County.

There shall be no restriction as to
age, race, color, or creed.

The person selected from the list of
nominees as the recipient of the
DPSA must demonstrate outstanding
personal contribution by way of
active service, leadership, and
ideas to any chamber area civic or
service organization(s), and/or
cause(s). The selected candidate’s
contribution will be for the past
calendar year.
